Bobby girl

Although I am not too great when it comes to accessorizing myself, I do have to say that I LOVE bobby pins.  They are discreet, tiny, incredibly functional and powerful... I hardly go a day without wearing them.  As wonderful as they are, the average bobby pins are nothing special to look at. 

That being said....

See Ya Next Winter

Well, I think our summer weather has finally arrived!  We enjoyed temps in the eighties all day today, and it was glorious!  So long winter, and good riddance!

I am officially putting my winter clothes away until next year... and  I feel so glad!

Fashion Friday: Chic Workwear

My job does not really call for dressing up most days. But every now and then, it sure is nice to feel nice.... even if there is no specific reason for it.

And I would feel VERY nice in any of these outfits!

It always helps to shake the Monday blues if you have a nice outfit to conquer the day in!

Fashion Friday: Denim

I love blue jeans... denim shorts, skirts, dresses... I love them all.  What I like about these three outfits are the high-waistedness of each of the bottoms.  High enough so they are above the hip bones, but not so high that they feel or look stuffy. 

And these outfits make great weekend outfits. They are perfect for be-bopping around town on a pretty Saturday. And that is exactly what I intent to do tomorrow. The weather is supposed to be gorgeous, Andrew will be at the baseball field all day, my mom's schedule is wide open. So yard sales... here we come!

Happy Friday! :)

This outfit, from here, would be the perfect weekend outfit for this weekend! It is a little rainy, and a bit cool, but still nice and springy. This ensemble would fit right in at the flea market, or at any antique or secondhand store! Unfortunately, in light of current circumstances, my goal for the weekend is to not spend any money!  We will see how that works out!

Sneak Peek: Part Two

I just couldn't help it; I had to add a few more pictures. There are just so many to choose from. Plus, I am proud of Andrew, and will take any available opportunity to show him off. God has blessed me so richly through him! Chesley did such a wonderful job with the pictures, and she was so patient with us, and fun to work with!

I was right when, in a recent post, I said that neither Andrew nor I knows how to be married. Without God's grace in our lives and in our relationship, our marriage will not thrive. But, with God at the center of our hearts and lives, both individually now, and together after we are married, our marriage will stand the test of time; the test of arguments; the test of failures; the test of imperfections; the test of disappointments. Because, "a cord of three strands is not quickly broken."

Weekend, Work, or Anytime Outfit

I love Thursdays, because I get a break from my internship, I am able to spend lunchtime with Andrew, and I get to spend seven hours working in the library and catching up on schoolwork! Plus, all day, every Thursday, I have Friday to look forward to!

This outfit is great. It is so versatile: perfect for work, and perfect for a Saturday shopping trip with the gals. Perfect for breakfast on the go, or for dog walking at the park, or for an afternoon lunch with your significant other (which is one of my favorite things about Fridays, personally).
